These linings must also withstand impact and abrasion to provide the long term protection needed. Reliable protection from harsh chemicals and acids such as hydrofluosilicic and sulfuric is paramount.  The long history of successful [Tnemec](https://www.tnemec.com/) secondary containment systems gave the engineer and general contractor confidence to select the [239SC Chembloc](https://www.tnemec.com/products/series-239sc-chembloc/) MRM system. The system consists of a novolac epoxy mortar with an embedded fiberglass mat, novolac saturant and intermediate coats followed by a chemical resistant urethane topcoat. Robust by design, this coating system is designed to resist impact, thermal shock, abrasion along with chemical exposure.
