Few water tank projects around the nation received as much attention in 2018 [Tnemec Tank of the Year](https://tnemec.com/about/tankoftheyear/) contest as the 15,000-square-foot mural on the ground storage tank in Winston-Salem, N.C. With vivid blocks of color, a 50-foot-tall river otter and a unique waterfall landscape, the tank’s design was created by Japan- and Florida-based artist, [Daas](https://www.artist-daas.com/), who was selected to paint the water tank by the city’s Public Art Commission out of 47 different proposals.

To create the mural, the artist used dozens of colors of [Tnemec Series 1026 Enduratone](https://tnemec.com/products/series-1026-enduratone/), a versatile, water-based acrylic emulsion from Tnemec. The city estimates that the mural will be seen by roughly 25,000 drivers a day.
