This project profile is being written in February of 2022.  After 18 years in service, I am documenting the longevity of Tnemec Series 156, Enviro-Crete "in-the-wild".  

In 2004, Harrison House underwent a complete exterior makeover, which included a Tnemec high performance coating, new windows, decks and railings, and the interior received refurbished common areas, new kitchen countertops and carpeting.  

"We were spending $3.9 million dollars on this remodel, so we were very interested in taking advantage of the BEST possible finishes to extend the life cycle as far out as possible.  Using Tnemec Series 156 on previous projects, we knew it would give us 20-30 years of life, and minimize our maintenance of power washing to remove mold and mildew growth, so it really was a no-brainer, " commented Brian with King County Housing Authority.  

This project consumed over 400 gallons of Series 156, in 3 separate colors.  "I took the original drawdowns to the project site in 2022", remarked Rick Gilbreath, with TNW Tnemec.  "I wanted to see how well the colors maintained their appearance.  I know how well Series 156 performs, but I was surprised of the condition and color retention.  Looking closely at the substrate, other than some caulking pull-back and minor water damage in small areas, you would think this project was coated last year."
